Purchase Your Domain

Buy a custom domain name from a domain registrar.

Choose a memorable domain (e.g., rahulcars.com, premiumautos.in)
Buy from GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or BigRock
Select .com, .in, .co.in, or other extension
Register for at least 1 year
Keep registrar login credentials safe

Access DNS Settings

Log in to your domain registrar account
Find your domain in the domain list
Look for 'DNS Management', 'DNS Settings', or 'Name Servers'
You may need to unlock the domain first
Keep this tab open for the next steps

Get AutoHub4u DNS Records

Retrieve your custom DNS records from AutoHub4u platform.

Go to Settings → Custom Domain in AutoHub4u
Click 'Connect Custom Domain'
Enter your domain name (e.g., mycars.com)
System will show you DNS records to add
Copy the CNAME and A records provided

Add DNS Records

Configure DNS records at your domain registrar.

Add A record: @ → AutoHub4u server IP
Add CNAME record: www → your-site.autohub4u.com
Save changes (may take 24-48 hours to propagate)
Don't delete existing MX records (for email)
Verify settings before closing

Verify & Activate

Confirm your domain is connected and activate SSL.

Return to AutoHub4u → Custom Domain settings
Click 'Verify Connection'
Wait for DNS propagation (up to 48 hours)
SSL certificate auto-generates (HTTPS enabled)
Test your new domain in browser

✅ Ensure DNS is fully propagated first. Wait 2-4 hours after DNS verification. Force SSL renewal in settings.

❌ Old site still showing

✅ Clear browser cache (Ctrl+F5). Try incognito mode. DNS may still be propagating - wait 24 more hours.

❌ Email stopped working

✅ You may have deleted MX records. Re-add original MX records from your registrar. Don't change email settings.

DNS changes take time to spread across the internet:

Normal time: 24-48 hours for full global propagation
Partial propagation: May work in some locations before others
Check progress: Use whatsmydns.net to see status
Patience is key: Don't panic if it doesn't work immediately
Clear cache: Try Ctrl+F5 or incognito mode to see changes
Mobile networks: Often update slower than home internet
