Step-by-step guide

    Stock aging & vehicle profitability

Review days in stock, matching buyer preferences and vehicle margins from the records your team has saved.

    Where to find it

    Vehicles → Stock & profitability

Open this screenSign in with the required workspace permissions.

    Before you start

    • Keep purchase prices, sale details, approved expenses and commission agreements current.
    • Viewing financial details requires sensitive-data, expense and payment permissions.
    1. Filter the stock

Open Vehicles → Stock & profitability. Search by name or registration, select available or sold vehicles and choose a minimum stock age. On mobile, open Filters for the additional controls.

    2. Review costs and margins

Financial details require sensitive-data, expense and payment permissions. Margins use the actual selling price when recorded, otherwise the asking price, less purchase cost, approved vehicle expenses and separate net commission agreements. A linked approved expense is not counted twice.

    3. Separate estimates from records

A daily holding-cost input estimates the cost of time in stock. It does not write an expense or change account balances. Review source records before treating an estimated margin as a realized result.

    4. Plan the next action

Use age-based suggestions, open the vehicle or contact buyers whose saved preferences match the stock. Suggested matches are based on recorded requirements, not a guarantee that the customer will buy.

    What to enter

    Worked example

    Sample data

Illustrative values, not a screenshot or live customer record.

    Sale revenue
    ₹5,00,000
    Purchase cost
    ₹4,00,000
    Approved expenses
    ₹20,000
    Separate commission (net)
    ₹10,000
    Deal margin
    ₹70,000

This example subtracts purchase cost, approved expenses and separate net commission once. A commission already linked to an included expense is not subtracted twice.

    Common issues & fixes

    Margin differs from another report

Check asking versus actual sale price, approved expenses, active commissions and report filters. Estimated holding costs are separate.
